Globally, industrial valve production is undergoing a monumental shift toward severe-service optimization. Modern midstream distribution, cryogenic petrochemical processing, and high-pressure subsea exploration demand high-performance hardware. At the core of these reliable fluid systems lies the trunnion mounted ball valve. Unlike standard floating valves, a trunnion-supported configuration anchors the ball securely on its axis, preventing seal deflection, minimizing torque requirements at extreme pressures, and optimizing seal integrity.
In Venezuela, home to the world’s largest proven crude oil reserves, pipeline components face challenging process conditions. The extra-heavy crude oil fields of the Orinoco Mining Arc (Faja Petrolífera del Orinoco Hugo Chávez) produce oil with API gravity degrees under 10°, containing high quantities of sulfur, heavy asphalt, and abrasive quartz sands. Heavy oil transport requires diluents, high temperature steam injection, and constant pressure.
In these harsh conditions, standard valve seats will quickly degrade due to wear and abrasion, leading to catastrophic pipeline leaks. Our premium trunnion mounted valve balls are designed with high-integrity coatings such as HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel), chromium carbide, and tungsten carbide. These coatings provide the wear-resistant properties required for long-term operation in PDVSA-aligned systems, Maracaibo's salt-heavy offshore platforms, and José Cryogenic Refining Complexes.

Hydrocarbon wells in Western Venezuela (such as Lake Maracaibo) and Eastern Venezuela (Anaco and Jose regions) often exhibit high concentrations of hydrogen sulfide (sour gas) and carbon dioxide. Under high pressures, these elements can cause sulfide stress cracking (SSC) in low-grade steels. Hubei RPZ manufactures valve components using specialized alloys, including ASTM A105, F304, F316, duplex stainless steels, and Nickel-based alloys (Inconel 625 / 825 cladding). These materials comply with NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 standards to prevent structural corrosion.
For high-pressure oil terminals and municipal gas grids near Caracas and Valencia, safety is critical. Our trunnion valve designs offer either Double Block and Bleed (DBB) or Double Isolation and Bleed (DIB-1 & DIB-2) configurations. This ensures that even under seat failure, backup seating surfaces prevent upstream pressure leaks, protecting both personnel and downstream equipment.
In high-temperature refineries like Cardón and Amuay (Paraguaná Refining Center), process piping must be fire-safe. Our trunnion ball valves feature primary soft-to-metal seating backed by secondary graphite seal rings. These components are certified to API 607 and API 6FA standards, remaining sealed even when exposed to temperatures exceeding 700°C.
