Unlike floating ball valves, trunnion-mounted designs feature a fixed ball supported by a trunnion (lower stem) and an upper stem. This design is preferred for high-pressure applications (Class 150 to Class 2500) because the pressure of the fluid is absorbed by the trunnions rather than the seats, reducing operating torque and seat wear.
Vital for the safety-critical operations of Pertamina Gas, our trunnion balls allow for simultaneous upstream and downstream sealing, allowing the cavity to be vented or drained through the bleed valve.
