Product Description

Pneumatic Ceramic Lined Floating Ball Valve

This valve is applicable as an on-off switch for pipelines carrying high-hardness grains or soft grains combined with corrosive media. It handles nominal pressures up to 1.6MPa and temperatures below 200°C.

All medium-contacting components are manufactured from structural ceramic, providing exceptional chemical stability and hardness (Rockwell Hardness HRC90), surpassed only by diamond. This ensures the valve offers supreme resistance to abrasion, corrosion, and erosion, alongside excellent heat insulation and minimal thermal expansion.

The ball body is produced using advanced grinding processes to achieve high-precision roundness. When paired with the valve seat, the self-lubricating properties of ZrO2 Ceramic ensure a superior, reliable seal. Due to these ceramic properties, the service life of this valve is significantly longer—approximately 2 to 4 times that of Ti alloy and Monel valves.

Product Features

  • 1
Excellent Wear Resistance: The ceramic ball maintains high sealing performance even under high-speed fluid flushing, significantly extending the equipment's lifespan.
  • 2
Superior Sealing Performance: Engineered to resist erosion from a wide variety of chemical media, making it suitable for harsh industrial working conditions.
  • 3
Easy Operation: Features a compact structure for easy installation. The pneumatic actuator allows for rapid switching, greatly improving operational efficiency.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes ceramic lined valves better for abrasive media?
Ceramic materials used in these valves have a Rockwell Hardness of HRC90, which is significantly harder than traditional metal alloys. This allows them to withstand high-velocity particles and abrasive slurries without eroding.
Can this valve handle corrosive chemical fluids?
Yes, structural ceramics offer excellent chemical stability, making them highly resistant to most acids and corrosive chemicals that would typically damage metal valves.
What is the expected service life compared to standard valves?
Due to the extreme hardness and wear resistance of the ceramic components, these valves typically last 2 to 4 times longer than Ti alloy or Monel valves in similar harsh conditions.
What driving options are available for operation?
The valve can be configured for manual operation, pneumatic actuators (as shown), worm gear drives, or electric actuators depending on your automation requirements.
Does the valve provide a bubble-tight seal?
Yes, the high-precision grinding of the ceramic ball and seat, combined with the self-lubricating properties of ZrO2 ceramic, ensures an excellent and reliable seal.
What are the temperature limitations for this valve?
While ceramic itself handles high heat, the standard configuration for this model is suitable for temperatures between -20ºC and 250ºC.
