With an exceptionally low density, extreme hardness, and superb thermal shock resistance, Si3N4 ceramic bearing balls are widely utilized in severe service control valves. Unlike traditional metallic balls, Si3N4 does not suffer from adhesive wear or cold welding when paired with metal seats, providing excellent tribological properties and long service life in high-frequency cycling applications.
Alumina Ceramic (99.7% Al2O3) offers superior corrosion resistance against highly acidic or alkaline media. Primarily deployed in chemical processing plants handling slurries, paper pulp, and nitric acid, Alumina valves resist erosive wear.
